IS Bride Lisa Smith and her Daughter have arrived back in Ireland from Syria.
Lisa Smith, an Irishwoman that became a ‘so-called’ Islamic State bride in Syria has recently arrived back in Ireland with her two-year-old daughter.
Ms Smith is said to have lived with her daughter in a Syrian refugee camp.
According to a couple of reports shared by news agencies, she is a former member of Ireland’s Defence Forces that went to the war-torn country in 2015 after converting to Islam and becoming radicalised.
Ms Smith was deported from Turkey and put on the first scheduled Turkish Airlines flight to Ireland, that landed at Dublin airport shortly after 10:30.
According to the reports, chances are Ms Smith will be interviewed by Irish police about the suspected terrorist offences.
Irish broadcaster RTE said she was accompanied by three consular officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs, members of the Army Ranger Wing, and a Turkish security officer.
Ms Smith is originally from Dundalk in Co Louth, close to the Irish border with Northern Ireland.
